Alan visits the Kings Copse, the garden of entrepreneur Jennifer Irvine, which has been designed with the whole family in mind. The elevated walkways, complete with slide, not only supply children with endless fun, but are an attractive feature that effortlessly blends in with the surrounding woodland. A tree house is nestled amongst the trees, offering both children and adults alike a tranquil space to play and relax in.
Pleached hornbeam trees shape and define the outdoor spaces, and the roses, salvia, cenothus and verbena planted on the extended swimming pool terrace provide delightful scents in the summertime. The steeply sloped plot has been cleverly terraced with leveled lawns, that lead from the perfect outdoor entertaining space for the adults, down to a versatile expanse of lawn, which gently transitions with careful planting into the enchanting woodland by the stream below.
The garden of Kings Copse, designed by Fiona Harrison, provides a wonderful place for children to explore and grow.
