Sentry Shed

Enid and Robbie didn’t need their big shed, so we downsized them to this wonderful sentry shed. A small plot still needs storage – and all-the-more important that it looks good. This compact shed by Kent and Stowe is built from quality kiln-dried Chinese Fir with a felted pitched roof.

It measures a neat 179 x 78 x 51.5cm and has interior shelves and a full height section to store spades, rakes and forks in. Finished in a garden-friendly sage green paint and with the benefit of an extra cubby hole in the roof cavity, it’s the ultimate space creator, even in a small garden.

Revolving Vantage Summerhouse

We wanted to give Enid and Robbie somewhere that they could sit and enjoy the garden out of the wind or direct sunlight. The Vantage Revolving Summerhouse was perfect for this as it takes the popular summerhouse design, and combines it with a fantastic new base which allows you to rotate the summerhouse throughout the day. Elite St Meloir Woodbury Fence Panel – 1.8m & 1.05m

We wanted a fence to reflect the seaside town of Bournemouth – an area where Enid and Robbie had so much fun in their younger days. We thought that the wavy top of the Elite St Meloir Woodbury fence panel reminded us of rolling seaside waves!

It offers a beautiful decorative design that will suit most garden settings. The timber on the sturdy horizontal slats and the domed lattice top are planed, rounded and grooved, and fixed into a strong rebated frame. Awning:

To give Robbie extra shade in the garden, we decided that an awning would be great. The 3m Half Cassette Electric Awning that we got in a jolly yellow stripe looked fabulous. Because it is electrically operated by a zapper, Enid and Robbie can easily open and close it.

It is finished to a very high specification, with a strong lightweight metal frame with powder coated aluminium arms. The awning can be opened as much or as little as you like up to the maximum projection.

The metal cassette casing covers top half of the awning roll when retracted for added protection from sun and rain. The awning is waterproof, UPF 50+ fabric (blocks over 98% of harmful UV rays) – which was very important to protect Robbie’s skin from sunlight.

Regal Oasis Paving

The hard landscaping was paramount in this episode as we needed to give Enid and Robbie a perfectly level garden. We selected the fantastic Regal Oasis paving by Pavestone because it is beautifully sawn and flat – so no bumps for Robbie to trip on. The stone is beautifully patterned and honed to a silky finish. We created a circular area within the paving using Midnight Slate Setts (100x100mm) and also to create a small bed in the centre featuring a bird bath. The contrast in colours between the paving and the setts also helps to guide Robbie in the garden.

Having some raised beds which Enid could maintain easily was also a priority. We used the buff brown tumbled walling to compliment the design and other hard landscaping materials.

Regal Oasis paving is £58m², Midnight Slate Setts are £6.50 per linear metre and Tumbled Walling Buff Brown is £44 per faced m².
