Inspirational Locations – Episode 7

Show 7 – Tuesday 4th August 2015

Inspirational Garden

This week’s inspirational garden in Bristol was designed by Lesley Hegarty and Robert Webber. The client is a keen gardener and wanted an entertaining space with plenty of room for plants. The designers decided to completely remove the lawn to accommodate this request. They then filled the garden with beautiful, billowing planting and divided the space into rooms using gravel paths, stone terraces and low box hedging. The colour palette is comprised of soft lavenders, deep purples, whites and greens. The client has never looked back and we were emboldened by this stunning creation to strip the lawn in our garden build! Other Inspirational Locations

During this week’s show Frances visited a number of stunning locations in Bournemouth a favourite holiday haunt of Robbie and Enid to provide inspiration for the garden build.

These included the Bournemouth Pavilion, where the girls enjoyed shows, after stage parties and in particular watching their good friend Ken Dodd perform. The Bournemouth Pavilion and its ballroom, is still one of the town’s main attractions today. The 1920s venue has retained its original art deco style and provides year round entertainment – including West End stage shows, opera, ballet, pantomime and comedy. The bustling coastal resort of Bournemouth has seven miles of golden sandy beaches, a pier, beautiful award winning gardens and much more – for further information please visit http://bournemouth.co.uk/

You may have also noticed some beautiful vintage stills of Bournemouth – these were kindly provided by Bournemouth Libraries to help inspire our build.
